WETH (also known as “Wrapped ETH”) is the volatile component of our WETH-USDT trading pair. Contrast this with USDT (a stablecoin), which is the stable component of our WETH-USDT trading pair.

WETH is a cryptocurrency that is:

• pegged to the value of the original coin (ETH), and
• is fully compatible within the smart contract world (for Polygon, the specific technical definition is “ERC20-compatible”)
• can be “unwrapped” at any time to convert back to ETH

Specific to Sidestepr, we want the WETH that is on the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain.
